First Stabilizer Installed at Fosen Mekaniske Verksteder
15.02.2007Yesterday Genfer Lloyd installed the first stabilizer in the vessel laying in Fosen Mekaniske Verksteder's dry dock.
The stabilizer is manufactured by Rolls Royce and weighs some 47 tons. The dimensions are 8.8 x 3.3 meters. The installation process required a high degree of precision in order not to affect the hydraulic mechanism. The Genfer Lloyd team responsible for the installation was chosen for their extensive experience in high precision work.
