New Contract for B-Kon Partner AS
05.05.2006Genfer Lloyd has been awarded a new contract in the Flekkefjord area. The scope of work includes the building of construction elements such as beams and stairs on the land terminal for the world's longest electric sea cable.
The NorNed cable is a long distance power exchange line between Feda in Norway and Eemshaven in Holland. The cable is 580 km long, rated for a voltage of 450 kV and the transmission capacity is 700 mW. The maximum sea depth is 410m. The system is scheduled to start operating by the end of 2007.
