Keel Laying for Geoseismic Research Vessel in Gdansk
07.08.2006Last week the keel-laying ceremony for Geoseismic Research Vessel BN-160 was performed at Stocznia Gdanska shipyard in Poland. The hull is being built for order from Bergen Mekaniske Verksted (BMV), Norway.
Designers from Genfer Lloyd have been working in BMV's offices in Norway providing design and engineering services. Other Genfer Lloyd engineers are responsible for production coordination and supervision in Poland. Among those pictured in connection with the keel laying ceremony is Waldemar Wasko from Genfer Lloyd's Structural Department (no. third from the right with white helmet).
